Description
BIGUMA®-DS 01 E is a polymer-modified levelling compound with special bonding agents for the laying of tape within the scope of the 3M Stamark™ Bitumen Plus range. This special balancing compound is easy to cast and spread and is characterised by its high stability.

Application instructions
a) Melting
Heat BIGUMA®-DS 01 E carefully to 180–220 °C in a boiler with mechanical vertical (upright) agitation, indirect heating and thermometer. Regulate thermostatically; controllable at all times. Repeated remelting is not recommended.
b) Requirements to the substrate
Substrate must be dry and dust-free; pre-treatment with a high-pressure air lance is recommended. On mineral substrates such as concrete, apply primer COLZUMIX®-DS.
c) Pouring of the compound
BIGUMA®-DS 01 E is not pumpable. Pour directly from the agitated boiler or with buckets. Apply with a screed box or pulling box for dimensionally stable width. Apply in the marking width with a slider, preferably mechanically. The applied layer thickness depends on surface roughness; allow 1–2 cm overlap in width beyond the foil edge. Apply the Stamark™ permanent marking foil immediately to the still-warm compound; surface temperature should be 40–60 °C.

Per running metre vs. foil width and layer thickness (e.g. 12 cm foil / 2 mm ≈ 546–588 g/m; 3 mm ≈ 819–882 g/m). See TDS table for full figures.
