Description

BIGUMA®-Gussasphalt Reparaturmassen are suitable for numerous applications in road construction and civil engineering. Thanks to their low cavity design, BIGUMA®-Gussasphalt Reparaturmassen are suitable for surface layers in road construction as well as for protective and surface layers on engineering structures. BIGUMA®-Gussasphalt Reparaturmassen do not need to be compacted and are therefore ideal for patching mechanical damage or small surface layer breakouts.

Application instructions

a) Melting

Use heated agitation boiler; melt gently to 200–230 °C to avoid thermal damage. Thermostatic control; max. dwell in pot 12 h.

b) Substrate

Dry and dust-free.

c) Pouring

Not pumpable—pour from boiler via chutes, buckets, etc. Spread with trowels or drawing shoes/drag boxes. Scatter high-quality pre-bituminised chips 1/3 mm or 2/5 mm while hot, colour-matched; press with light hand roller.

Weather conditions

Dry weather only; surface temperature above +5 °C.

Material consumption

Indicative kg/m² vs. layer thickness per TDS table (e.g. 0.5–1.5 cm ≈ 11–33 kg/m²; 2.0–3.0 cm ≈ 50–75 kg/m²).

Cleaning agents

Equipment: BIGUMA®-SWS, petrol or common solvents
At skin contact: hand cleansing paste

Storage

Shrink-wrapped pallets; store slabs shaded outdoors or in a hall.
