Description
BIGUMA®-MS 100 is the perfect bonding agent for the creation of storable cold mix in hot mixing plants. Apart from a storage tank, no further construction measures are required. The cold mix is suitable for removing road damage as part of preventive road maintenance and for filling potholes, wide cracks and repairing frost damage. It is characterised by its excellent adhesion to almost all types of stone.

Application instructions
Process BIGUMA®-MS 100 at approx. 60–70 °C. In heated tanks do not exceed 85 °C. Heat the binder only for production — prolonged holding at high temperature can strongly alter its properties.
Nearly all stone types may be used; always run suitability tests for compatibility and dosage first. During mixing, stone temperature must not exceed 100 °C; ideal range is 80–90 °C. Dry, clean flint may be used without heating.
Mixing time is comparable to hot-mix production; determine optimum time for each plant by trials.

Suggested formulations
Determine optimum binder content by suitability tests; dosage depends mainly on mineral grading. Guideline binder addition (% by weight of mineral, bulk density 1.5 kg/l): 0/2 mm — 6.5 %; 2/5 mm — 5.6 %; 5/8 mm — 5.1 %; 8/11 mm — 4.5 %; 11/16 mm — 4.0 %. For thin repair layers, increase total binder content by approx. 0.5 wt-%.
