NILA®-Field

NILA®-Field

Hot plastic compound for cycle paths in the colours red, tomato red, traffic green and blue

Description

We have developed the thermoplastic compound NILA®- Field especially for the coloured design of asphalt surfaces. It is suitable for the coloured marking of asphalt cycle tracks and cycle lanes where there is a lot of traffic. NILA®- Field is available in the following colours: red, tomato red, traffic green and blue. NILA®- Field is applied to surfaces at temperatures of between 170 and 190 degrees Celsius in a thickness of 3 mm using a screed box.

Advantages

  • coloured, sprayable hot plastic compound
  • colour-fast signalling effect
  • high grip and adhesion

Available packaging

Flat carton (block goods): 25 kg. Polyethylene bag (powder goods): 25 kg.

Technical info

Application instructions

Application

NILA®-Field is applied to surfaces at temperatures of between 170 and 190 °C in a thickness of approx. 3 mm using a screed box. The road surface must be dry, clean, free of dust and oil. In spring and autumn the relative humidity of the air (dew point) must be considered. If the minimum temperature is below +5 °C, the road surface must be warmed before application.

Properties

NILA®-Field is distinguished by a colour-fast signalling effect, high grip and adhesion. After cooling down, passing-over of the road marking is possible after a short time (5 to 10 minutes).

Material consumption

At 3 mm layer thickness: approx. 6.3 kg/m² (red), approx. 5.8 kg/m² (tomato red, traffic red, traffic green). Additional consumption in case of substrate roughness must be calculated separately.

Storage

Shelf life of NILA®-Field block material is unlimited.
