Description
DOBAU®- Petrolatum DIN is a corrosion protection tape for covering media-carrying pipes with an operating temperature of up to 30 °C in accordance with DIN EN 12068.

Application instructions
Application
The area to be coated must be made free of rust and cleaned thoroughly using a wire brush. The surface must be dry and free of grease. The coating is applied in a spiral shape by pulling with a minimum of 50 % overlap. It begins and ends 50 mm on the adjoining factory coating. The laminated film must be on the outside here. Ensure crease-free winding without cavity formation. The tape must be pressed down again and smoothed, especially in the overlap area.
Structure
The DOBAU®-Petrolatum DIN is a corrosion protection, consisting of a chemical fibre reinforcement (185 g/m²), coated on both sides with a modified petrolatum compound of high adhesive force and elasticity applied onto an HDPE carrier film.
Application field
For subsequent coating of weld seams areas and shaped parts as well as fittings, house connections, flanges and in lightning protection construction. Ideally suitable for difficult areas in conjunction with DOBAU®-mastic. Load class A, operating temperature up to 30 °C.
Storage
Protected against direct sunlight, dry, standing on the cut edges, stacking height max. 4 boxes.
