Application instructions

Application

The sealing surface must be resistant to abrasion, grease and dust. Sharp-edged unevenness must be removed. After removing the separating foil, the bitumen tape can be applied to the sealing surface. DOBAU®-SOS Band must be firmly pressed on after application. The formation of hollow areas (bubbles) must be avoided. To improve adhesion, the sealing surfaces can be painted with the primer COLZUMIX®-Haftgrund. After the primer has flashed off, the DOBAU®-SOS Band can be laid. Substrates that can be walked on or driven on are not suitable for application.

Structure

DOBAU®-SOS Band consists of an external HDPE special film coated with high-quality elastomeric bitumen. A siliconised film is used as separating material. This ensures optimum storage stability and application.

Application fields

Protection against water, steam and driving rain in buildings (e.g. window connections). Condensation water protection for ventilated facades. Threshold sealing in interior areas.

Storage

The product should be protected from direct sunlight and stored at 5 °C to 40 °C. The rolls should also be stored dry and standing on their cut edges. The product is not vulnerable to frost. The properties of DOBAU®-SOS Band remain unchanged for a long time. We recommend application within 12 months.
