Description
BIGUMA®- B 700 is a bituminous compound for the undergrouting of rails and is used for balancing unevenness between the substrate and rail base in tram rails. BIGUMA®- B 700 guarantees seamless load transfer. The rapid hardening of the compound means very short construction times and results in only short interruptions to road operation.
Advantages
- Guarantees seamless load transfer
- Withstands high surface pressure

Application instructions
a) Melting
b) Undersealing of the rail base
Undersealing should extend about 1.5–2.5 cm beyond each side of the rail base. Fill in two steps: about two-thirds of the height in the first pass, the remainder as a finish after the first layer has cooled to hand-hot. Finish up to the upper edge of the rail base; the rail may briefly see up to 220 °C during finishing—compensate deformation with weight (e.g. concrete slab or rail). Two-layer work limits heat exposure.
BIGUMA®-B 700 is not pumpable. Material can also be collected hot liquid ex works.
Weather conditions
Underseal only in dry weather with surface temperature at least +5 °C.
Material consumption
Cleaning agents
At skin contact: hand cleansing paste
Storage
Store cold and dry; storable for at least 24 months.
